2020, Saluting China
The novel coronavirus outbreak, which happened in Wuhan in the late 2019, has expanded to touch every corner of the globe. Millions of people around the world have been sickened and hundreds of thousands of others have died. We are here healthy and alive, because numerous doctors and nurses have ever volunteered to make contributions at the risk of their lives. So, the pandemic has been stemmed in China.
I salute China.
In July 23, a powerful Long March 5 rocket blasted off carrying a probe named Tianwen-1 on a seven-month voyage to Mars. Tianwen-1 is going to orbit, land and release a rover all on the very first try, and coordinate observations with an orbiter. No planetary missions have ever been implemented in this way. If successful, it would signify a major technical breakthrough.

We are moving full steam ahead on 5G, barely slowed down by a pandemic that has ravaged the world. 5G is the next generation of wireless technology rolling out across the world, promising to deliver much faster wireless service and a more responsive network than 4G. It's ability to connect more devices and offer real-time feedback is expected to spark a sea change in how we live and work, ushering in new advances like self-driving cars to advanced augmented reality experiences. Our country leads in the deployment of 5G and could gain an edge in rolling out these future technologies.
